Discovery works from three angles at once — login data, browser activity, and native integrations across 300-plus applications (the pricing page comparison chart claims 350+) — with an AI Integration Builder to reach apps that expose no usable API. From there the platform maps shadow users, provisions and deprovisions accounts, flags wasted licences, and runs access-review surveys asking managers to confirm who still needs a seat. The product is organised into Discover, Govern, Monitor, Secure, and an Advanced Experience tier of autonomous policy workflows.

What separates Josys from pure spend tools is hardware. The same console tracks physical device inventory and refresh cycles, so an offboarding pulls the licence and chases the laptop in one flow. That reflects its origins: Josys was spun out of Japanese printing platform Raksul in 2021 under CEO Yasukane Matsumoto, raised a $93 million Series B in 2023 led by Global Brain and Globis Capital Partners, and now cites more than 600 customers globally, with SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 certification.
