Zamp
A managed sales tax service rather than self-serve software, with the vendor covering penalties on filings it handles.
About Zamp
Zamp deliberately refuses to publish a price, and its stated reasoning is the most informative thing on its pricing page: flat per-state or per-filing rates, it argues, hide risk and turn into add-ons later, because exposure varies with product mix, entity count, state footprint and whatever historical liability you are carrying. Whether you accept that argument determines whether Zamp is on your shortlist, because you cannot compare it against Anrok's or Sphere's per-market rates without going through a sales conversation. What is not gated is the free tier, which is unusually substantive for this category: a one-time nexus assessment, a product taxability review, a 30-minute session with a tax specialist and a 30-day rate-limited API sandbox — enough to establish where you actually have obligations before you commit to anyone. Paid plans split simply into U.S. and U.S. + Canada, the latter adding GST/HST/PST/QST registrations and provincial filing. The operating model is the differentiator: this is a service staffed by former state auditors, offered as either done-for-you or done-with-you, with notice management handled end to end and calculation performed at rooftop level from geospatial coordinates rather than by ZIP code — the difference that causes mismatched rates in split ZIPs. The Zamp Commitment covers penalties and interest arising from a calculation or filing it managed. Company footing is recent and solid: founded 2022 in New York, a $17M Series B in April 2026 led by Acrew Capital with Thomson Reuters Ventures, alongside the launch of Zamp OS.

- Notes
- No published prices for paid plans — Zamp explicitly declines to quote flat per-state or per-filing rates, arguing they hide risk and produce later add-ons; both the U.S. plan and the U.S. + Canada plan require contacting sales. The Free plan is real product access rather than a trial: a one-time nexus and exposure assessment, a product taxability review, a 30-minute expert consultation and API sandbox access (30-day and rate-limited). Paid plans bundle registrations, filings and remittance rather than charging per filing. The Zamp Commitment states that if a Zamp-managed calculation or filing results in penalties or interest, Zamp covers the cost. Because nothing is published, budget comparisons against per-market vendors require a sales call.
