Amalia
Self-service commission rules engine designed for European sales organizations.
About Amalia
Commission calculators that assume US dollars and rigid plan structures serve European sales organizations badly — the conviction that led Idriss Boumaza and Maxime Grandjean to build Amalia in Lille, France in 2019. The product’s center of gravity is a rules engine: administrators design plans, short-term incentives, and commission rules in a self-service designer, while reps see real-time statements plus a simulator that estimates future commissions from their own closing expectations. What-if scenarios, payroll and custom reports, team hierarchies, multi-currency, and multi-language support complete the checklist, and the compliance posture is thoroughly European: SOC 2 Type II certified, SSO-only access, and Google Cloud hosting in Brussels for GDPR purposes. Integrations reach Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, BigQuery, and Personio, with API connections and spreadsheet imports beyond that; implementation, handled by Amalia’s in-house compensation experts, is advertised as taking weeks, sales run through a demo, and there is no free trial. A €4 million seed led by InReach Ventures in January 2023 carried Amalia past 40 customers — Qonto, Nespresso, TheFork, OpenClassrooms, Rakuten among them — and in March 2026 Finnish equity-plan specialist Allshares acquired the company, folding the rules engine into its ownership and incentive management platform.
